Venerism is a word I coined describing the veneration of visages past and present, capturing their unique physical and spiritual essence.
The landscape of a face is a fascinating story.
In this series I use my original graphite renderings via reduction and overlays along with other images to reflect the subject's narrative. In order to achieve the intimate and unique, layered effects I hand-feed the hot-pressed Arches paper through the printer multiple times, as if a printing press.
Since each print is never the same they are not numbered.
All art is hand signed verso.
